MINIRIDERS EZINE UPDATE
Dear Members,
As you know we have had a subscription optin on the front page to receive the Miniriders Ezine. That is a digital magazine to be sent out via email to your subscription email inbox. We plan to launch this monthly and then, if it proves to be popular, to release it twice a month.
However we first need to deal with the spammers who have been opting in every week for last month. They suddenly decided to focus on this site. So we first need to change the optin process to reduce spam and we will be doing this soon. Then we need to clear out the spam registrations. When we do that we will get an accurate picture of how many of our Miniriders have opted in for the ezine.
This leads me to the most important point of this post. We need to see that our members are really keen to get this monthly ezine before we decide to put the effort and expense into it. You can show us your support for the idea by how many of you subscribe to the ezine over the next few weeks. We want at 200 or more registrations before we decide to take this jump.
The purpose of the ezine is to offer you benefits and value not already available from the Forum. The idea for the ezine is to include the following kinds of Content -
* Special articles on pitbikes and minimotos
* Race news and reviews
* Self help “How To” articles
* Rider of the Month
*Top Pic
* Top Video
* Competitions
* Specials from the Sponsors
We are in negotiation with our Sponsors to put together a great package of specials to bring to you each month covering their full range of products.

What sort of compitions are you looking at? Just the photo and vid ones?
What about most informational thread (monthly) or post (monthly)? Just throwing some ideas out there.

We are moving towards a launch date – but first we have to sort out the spam problem. Spammers have recently invaded the ezine optins on this site and sister site Pocket-Bike-Racing. Our technical team is now working on installing a more spam proof optin process and removing all the spam subscriptions. We need to do this before we start mailing ezine issues out to you all who have signed up.
