Hi guys,
A small number of you have been affected by the server move. When we moved the site two weeks ago, we had to point MiniRiders.com.au to the new server. This process can takes days to be recognised across the internet but the issues kept up and some users have been unable to access the site still!
Anyway we're going to be making some more changes to fix this issue so you may notice the site will be unavailable for between 1 hour for most people and up to 5 days for some unfortunate people.
If you have any problems or issues come up, let me know and I'll help out where I can.
If problems persist, you may like to try these remedies:
Possible Solutions
Users experiencing troubles should refresh their DNS cache. This can be done through the command line.
1. Close all Open Browsers
2. Click Start -> Run -> type "cmd" -> press enter
3. type "ipconfig /flushdns
** Wait for the process to finish **
4. Close the Command Line window
---
WARNING: The following one is a little more advanced and I don't recommend you do this UNLESS you know what you're doing:
1. Close all Open Browsers
2. Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections
3. Right Click your Internet Connection (for me this is labeled Wireless
Network Connection)
4. Select 'properties' from the secondary navigation
5. In the list of items, left click the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) once to
highlight this option
6. Click the 'properties' button below the item list
7. In the General tab, note down your current 'Preferred DNS Server' before
changing this to:
203.5.75.132 (Optusnet DNS Server - reliable)
8. Add the old 'Preferred DNS Server' IP to the Alternate DNS Server' line
(making sure that the numbers are correctly spaced through the dots).
9. Left Click 'OK' to save your settings
10. Left Click 'OK' to exit out of your Network Properties.
11. Start -> Run -> type 'cmd'
12. type ipconfig /renew
** Wait for this process to finish - (your internet connection will drop out
while it renews your settings)
ALTERNATIVELY for steps 11+ - restart your PC (this is a safer alternative)
