Great ideas - I like the idea of sections for different bikes. Maybe a section on comparisons between bikes too for people wanting to buy a new bike with a check list of features

someone's persistant hahaha. its my little nephews b-day today so i had to spend my cash on that little guy, sorry .

i always thought some sort of prize for winning 50 of the month, like having the image of the winning bike displayed on the homepage somewhere would be a good idea as it would also bring more people into wanting to participate in the poll.

i have to aggree with the repeat posts. it seems that XX ammount of all the posts in tech talk are a repeat of something allready asked by someone else, makes for some annoying searching when you have something specific your looking for and you have to sift through pages apon pages of repedative content to find what your looking for. maybe an amature question section which is filled with the more simple content including fitting rim-locks, changing oil etc etc... and an advanced question section featuring engine rebuilds, valve clearances etc etc... i personally feel it would bring more order to the forums as "tech talk" seems to general.

what do you guys and gals think??

Cheers, Tony.

most importantly though i would like some feedback from admins about these changes. a few times have we put together these threads and they may well have been considered but due to the little feedback we got from the admins we never knew if anything was happening, if they even knew the thread existed etc etc... of course foolsp33d is the creator of this thread so i suspect things to be different in this case due to his connection with the admins. a little feedback regarding sugestions would be great

Cheers, Tony.

Interesting.. so some of you guys have already written up how to's.. but they have just been "lost in the system" so to speak!?? If you get a chance would love some links to them.. the more the merrier the more helpful the better!
Am out for a while tonight but will try and get back on a little later and do some organisation..
I lioke in you previous post bones about the level of experiance.. from basic-moderate-expert. it would give members a direction in which to head to ask a simple question or ask a relatively hard one..
I for one am getting tired of the same old "which bike do i get" or the "What is better?" questions..
If anyone has any good info from beginner to expert please either PM me the link or the details and i will submit them into their required field.. Give me some info on where you think they would belong..

Bike brand, engine, level of difficulty, basic description

example could be (AGB Ducar 125, begginer level, oil change)
or (Pit Pro Lifan 140, moderate{intermediate} level, installing IRK and oil slinger)
(MSO Lifan140, Expert level, cylinder bore and tappet settings)

Otherwise, if you have a better idea of how it could be set out by all means! please give me, or miniriders, hillz, scott, ANY MOD your opinion!!

Thanks for this guys, its great to see so many dedicated members willing to take time out of their schedual to help out the Forum, and lend members a hand!
Foolsp33d.

These are exactly the types of suggestions I've been looking for. I LOVE the FOTM pic idea and sticking it on the homepage. We want to make a new homepage for the site which can show updated news, events and featured bikes. It's kind of difficult to make but I'm going to try and crank one out ASAP.

We could also have people whose bikes were featured on the homepage to write about what they did and have it seen by everyone visiting the frontpage of the forum.

I reckon that'd be awesome. Keep these ideas coming guys... and don't be afraid to PM me with something on your mind.

Just as an idea, maybe those on holidays with some spare time, and creativness can submit some ideas for a home page?? obviously it will have to be subject to approval but possiblya designed by xxx note at the bottom, as it would save Rob having to do all the thinking and work.. just an idea to spread the work load...

Agreed that 50otm should be posted on the front page with a detailed blurb on the owner and bike mods, riding enviroment, etc.

like Rob said, keep the ideas coming guys, its what we need, fresh ideas.
