would really like to know more =)

cheers

cant take credit for starting the forum, Rob and Scott are the ones in charge there as far as IM aware....

as MODS its a matter of looking after the forum, this goes into things such as editing and removing certain posts, keeping spammers out(we do our best), general forum cleanups(moving off topic posts wrongly posted threads in certain areas: for sale in the tech) keeping the peace(as best we can) between members.

We would (i hope) like ALL members to feel they can give any of us, Hillz, scottie, miniriders(rob) jeze, myself a PM with a request, be it for a simple how do i post a pic to this member has been constantly sending me dirty msgs(looks at PJ).... and we will do our best to help out in any situation.

The forum is a place to gather information, share thoughts and experiances, and generally widen yours and our knowledge of the minibike phenomenon..

While some members may think we are here to just remove or delete posts, thats not the case, we accept and deny memberships, approve/disapprove threads, posts, generally try to be a mutual part of the forum, while keeping its blood flowing.

personally iv gone though and made disclaimers, Layout designs for the forsale and WTB sections, Hillz looks after and updates the FOTM, Scott does his bits, Miniriders(rob) does the sub forums.

In all there is probably alot going on 'behind the sceans' you lot dont get exposed to, such as p0rn spams coming in at 3am, posting numerous posts about v1agra, and p3nial enlargement. (i use the slang to avoid more coming in) these are 98% of the time deleted by the time 'regular users' come into the forum.

I dunno if thats the kind of answer you were after... hope its helped give an insite to our roles here.

a better search function, when you click search there is surpose to be a drop down bar i'm guessing like on fmx but it dosent come down and you have to open a new window to use the search function, and also it dosent pick up some key words when there has been shitloads of threads on the subject you type in and it wont find it, also i think we should ban people who post repetitive crap and people who spam heaps and wreck other people's threads.

Agreed - our search function really does suck. Try the new one in the right hand side bar - it returns much better results and you can search for smaller words like "xr", "mso" "pit pro" and anyhting else you might be looking for. It lags behind the old engine, but you'll hardly notice it.

Go ahead and try it now, click on the sidebar link to Search . I might update the other box to default to that.

As for the drop down problem, I need my designer to do that. He's a hell of a busy man and I've been waiting to get onto him for MONTHS, I can't say I'll get him anytime soon either but here's to hoping.

When you are searching the Classifieds section, you should be able to choose what STATE you are looking for things in.

It's so hard to find something in SA when you have to open tonnes of threads that are all in vic or something.

Could you elaborate on the gallery a bit more? What aspects of the gallery do you like/don't like? What do you think could be improved? Are there any galleries out there on the internet that you think we should imitate?

As for stickers it's been discussed and it's in the back-burner for a bit.

Hmmm... maybe we could update the classifieds template so people are required to put their state at the end of the Thread title. I.e. "2007 MSO X7R 125cc [QLD]"

Would that help?

I guess but I bet a lot of people would forget and you would still have to search through every page just to look for something in SA.

Maybe we could have a system of thread icons? I've seen it before on forums.
