Slow Browsing?

Hey guys,

I've upgraded some software on the site lately which should improve your browsing experince and the speed of the site in general. I understand it's still slow though. So in order to help speed things up for you guys, there are two things you can do to help speed things up.

1) Install Firefox - Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable
2) Google Web Accellerator - Google Web Accelerator Download

I've noticed that 75% of visitors to the site over the last month have been using Internet Explorer. Of that 75 percent, more than half of you are using an outdated version of Internet Explorer. If you would like more speed and security in general, I reccomend the upgrade to IE 7 or at least checkout Firefox.

See how much faster it is.

Who else uses Firefox and Google Web Accellerator?

Actually, getting the Google addon might not be the best option for you, since Faster Fox and Google Web Accellerator both Prefecth pages.

It could put a strain on your net connection.

the architecture of Firefox is far more basic, thats why its faster ...
Firefox is quite a dumb browser when it comes to web standards

Your net may be faster but it isnt neceserily the way it was intended to be viewed. Explorer is 100% standards correct, so it displays xhtml/css the way it was intended.

Which probably means bugger all to most people ...
But, Explorer is the preferred browser in the world today ...
