Post Introducing Your New Admins

Hey Guys!

It's about time that we introduce ourselves. We’re the new Admins - Yaro and Rob. We’re looking to pick up where the old Admins of MiniRiders.com.au left off.

We’ve been taking note of all the issues around the website, such as spam, bad language, flaming, disorganized posts and anything we can improve to make this website the best it can be for you guys.

Also, over the next few weeks, we’re going to be looking out for some guys who’d like to join the ranks of moderators along with ~Matt~ (our newly promoted forum Moderator) and help us clean the website up. So make sure you get out there so we can notice you doing things. As for us, we’re going to be looking into fixing up some issues on the site.

Here are some of the main issues we need to inform you about…

Spam:
The forums are getting a ton of spam, so we’ve implemented some new measures to combat it.

Most notably we’ve promoted ~Matt~ to moderator, so watch out for him in the forums and send him (or us) a PM if you need any help.

Another thing we’ve included to prevent spam is the Akismet plugin. If you notice any of your posts are delayed, you may have been accidentally caught by our new spam filtering system. If that is the case, don’t worry, we’ll sort you out as quickly as possible.

We’re going to investigate better ways to clean it up, so bear with us while we work out the kinks.

New Rules:
We’re going to be enforcing new rules around here since the old Admin didn’t get around to it. Our policy is 3 strikes and you’re out.

As long as you don't post Porn, Spam, Advertising, Bad Language or Behaviour you should be just fine. Otherwise we'll give you an infraction for each offense except for Spam, which gets you an instant ban.

Once again, our new Moderator, ~Matt~ will also be on the lookout for any breaches.

Reorganising the Forums:
We’d like to clean up the forum to make it more user friendly and less cluttered. In the meantime we're going to have a long hard look at the website and make note of anything which needs to be changed. If you have any tips for us, we'd lovve to hear your ideas. You all know where to find us if you've got an idea.

Once again, we’re glad to be behind you guys on this forum – and we hope we can build this site up to be the best site out there for mini-bike and dirt bike riders like you guys.

Cheers,
Yaro and Rob.

Hey Stick,

We don't mean to stop you from having a good time with everyone on here - we just want to keep the forum clean.

I know a lot of newbies don't feel comfortable with all the swearing, so it's just to help the forum become more user-friendly and open to people like you guys.

PM me if you need anything.

Cheers,
Rob

Someone needs to address the issue of moderators undermining site sponsors...
Enough said you'll all know what i'm talking about...
