Thumbs up MotoGP spoiler inside!

Woohoo! What a race. Although it was a bit boring to watch, the end result was awesome.

1st. Casey Stoner!!!!!!!!!
2nd. Colin Edwards
3rd. Chris Vermulen

2 aussies on the podium in yet another wet race!!! Oh, and some lanky italian came 4th. LOL

Pity Ant West binned the bike. Would have been good to see 3 aussies up the top.

Stoner is really settling in to the top spot.

Oh and I didn't see a single Honda CBR600RR ad the whole night. LOL I think Honda's marketing team has regret using Nicky Hayden for its ad campaign. LOL

It's funny how they can beat our pitbikes in first gear

Haha, Thats great man! Casey Stoner is really leading the way for aussies in the GP.. I'm really not that up to speed with the GP.. I don't really watch it much because of the fact, that I NEVER KNOW WHAT TIMES ITS BLOODY ON!

The 250cc class is heaps fun to watch, so is the main with Stoner etc.. What is that class called lol? Superbike class? :P Meh.. I heard they lowered the cc's from 1000cc to 850 or 800cc right? Ruby you gotta hook me up uleh

I missed the first 5 laps, they put the bloody 800's on before the 125cc, but it was indeed a great result, a reverse result from Le Mans.
It has me thinking on how the hell Nicky Hayden won the championship last year, he couldn't keep it on two wheels this race either.
And how good was Ant West even after he binned the bike to finish 11th, I love the Green paint on his Kwaka, looks awesome.

Nicky Hayden only took the title due to the massive pileup that saw half the top riders (Stoner, Pedrosa, Rossi etc) not competitive for a few weeks. Plus the fact that Honda gave all the riders equal machinery to put an end to Rossi. He's really making an arse of himself now, after all those cocky Honda ads he put together. Now Honda can't air them because his such a flop!

Yep the MotoGP is always on late, if its on at all. 12.10am in the morning! But so long as Stoner wins, its worth it.

The engines were originally 990cc. But they were too quick. So FIM brought in a new limit of 800cc. Problem is the bikes are now faster! LOL Not slower due to a combination of creative engineering and less weight in the engines. They should have listened to the Ducati Team boss: if they want to slow the bikes down, reduce the number of gears from 6 to 5. Now they must find power and spread it evenly throughout 5 gears! Its a great example of the race corporation not listening to real engineering advice. LOL

The engines were originally 500cc, before they were 990cc. Just thought I would throw that 1 in...lol

Yep 500cc two strokes, back in the days of Mick Doohan.

Then there was the rule change to merge in the 990cc four strokes. And now of course the new rule to lower them to 800cc. All in a bid to make them safer and slower. LOL

For a better understanding of these machines. Buy, borrow, or steal a copy of "Faster". Its an awesome DVD and well worth it. I think I've watched it a million times. LOL
