For the unknowing is there a reason for that?
i would imagine it would drop the compression or somthing or maybe alow for the extra heat and in return not have to adjust the valves as often? if thats the case i can understand it but still wierd.

I'm not sure why they run that clearance. Standard is 0.03" intake and 0.04" exhaust isn't it?

I'm guessing it's something to do with heat and expansion? Will have to do some reasearch. Maybe some other guys can answer?

it has nothing to do with the cam you run but the expansion of the materials used in the top end when at running temp. He means 4 thou I think which is correct.

It runs sweet now! First gear is way too short. The OKO 28mm flatside isn't too hard to tune, but's diffrent to the mikuni copy setups. It's vulnerable to changes too, so it can be spot on 2 day and slightly off the next.

It has CRAZY torque and still manages to rev. The 28mm valve deffinatly changes the engine significantly and allows it to breathe much better. Compression on the 56mm (big dome compared to the 58mm) from Akunar has crazy compression and needs to be kicked properly just after TDC.

I've had about 4 hours on the engine now and no drama's. No oil leaks or anything. Couldn't be happier! Also got a 30mm intake manifold from Akunar coming on the way.

Thanks for positive responce guys!
