Hi guys.
Here is a little more info on the new XR140 Pitpro's fitted with the new 1P56FMJ motor.
We were happy to find that the 08 XR140 is now fitted with an IRK from the factory,so this puppy is a very responsive unit !

Ps. One of our customers [An ex Aust 4DE. Junior team member] has just purchased the new XR140 from us and phoned me after his first ride last weekend ride on the bike and has this to say. "Brian this thing is a blast and absolutely flies,it is definately quicker with the new 1P56FMJ than the Lifan 1P55FMJ fitted previously" !.

Ps .He even gave a couple of Captain Dusts mates a ride of his new XR140 and the verdict was the same ...Thumbs up from all !

Cheers Brian

Why does everybody rave on about IRKs. It only changes the way the bike revs. It doesn't give it more power

thats right it doesn't make more power, it changers the way the power comes on !!!

The quicker the power comes on, the quicker you get out of corners and so on !!

Pulled my sidecover today and can confirm that IRK was fitted as standard!

Brian, does this also mean that lightened oil slinger is also fitted?

Hi Sydney

QUOTE Sydey:You would better hope so LOL

Not at all Sydney. Dont believe all the rubbish you have read on other posts! I have been an Engine Re-conditioner for over 25 years and I cant believe some of the Crappola and mis-information spread thru the forums to the unwashed masses LOL !

Ps.As yet we havent pulled the Oil slinger side cover off the new 1P56FMJ motors so they may well have the Alloy Oil Slinger fitted as well !

Cheers Brian

Hey Brian,

There's a few more questions for you above !!!

Also,

Are you saying that when installing an IRK you dont need to install the lightened slinger ???

I've always read that you have to or other wise there's to much weight on one side and it unbalances the crank to much and can cause problems !!!

If you dont "have" to and it wont cause any issues then Sweet As !! I will reinstall my brothers standard slinger to add a little more weight back on the crank to try an minumize the stalling a bit !! I reckon they stall to easy and you have to jump on the clutch all the time

...

Hi PB performance.
We run motors with only IRK fitted, some with only the oil slinger fitted, some with both. With no failures to date !!
Note ..Of course there will be a failure sooner or later due to the slightly suspect strength and metallurgy of Chinese cranks !

Running with or without an Oil slinger or IRK does nothing to affect engine balance.
In fact the lighter the flywheel weight or magneto the less strain there is on a crank.
I actually balance motors for a living, and have balanced and built all types of motors ranging from Keith Black Hemi,Porsche 911 to vintage traction engines !
Regardless of whether IRK kits are fitted or not the unequal torque loading on a motors crankshaft from front to rear will ALWAYS occur due to the simple fact only one end of the crank is actually taking the driving load causing torsional twist.
9 times out of 10 a rider using a pitty fitted with an IRK/oil slinger is going to rev the daylights out of the motor just for the hell out of it.Therefore increasing the chance of crank or motor failure. ! Hmmmmmmmmm !?
Ps..Extra weight can always be added to the IRK to give a little more flywheel effect ,decreasing the stalling situationt !

Anyhoo ! enough crapping on by me,and I am not interested in getting into a pissing match with someone who disagrees with my point of view.If they do good luck to them ,if we all agreed with each other the world would be a boring place LOL...

Back to the motor in question here. Remember this 1P56FMJ fitted STD to the XR140 is the same motor that is sold for big bucks as a Motovert 141cc option.
Note..Some of our new bikes in stock also have the new all Alloy cylinder fitted to these motors too...1P56FMJ,IRK,New Inlet manifold design, stronger Kickstarter, stronger kick start gears all at no extra charge !!
What a Bargain .

Cheers Brian
