easy upgrades

hey guys just wondering if any of u no any easy upgrades to my thumpstar its allready got a 138cc (i think they are 127cc really) it goes pritty hard at the moment but i want more power and also i would like to elimanate the dead spot when i hit the throtle hard when idleing any help would be great

irk, not that hard but need some tools like flywheel puller and rattle gun
simple things like grinding out the weld in the exhaust and matching the maniflod to the gaskets can give you a little but extra but minimal.
carbys can give more power or just tune your current one,
also changing the sprocket setup can change how the bike delivers the power.
otherwise your looking at pistons borework porting cams to get heaps more power

ok then do u noe if you can buy stronger rims like exel rims or something allong them lines

That flat spot can be tuned out with correct jetting and proper adjustment of your pilot mixture screw.

this doesnt help the power obviously but if you dont have one get a rim lock there good i just got a flat pullling monos because the tube moved around on the rim lol

where can i buy some of these rim lock from
im only askin for stronger rims as mine have flat spots in them from a gutter that didnt move when i told it to move lol

yeh you can get rims but they are quite expensive id just trash the cheap china ones and then buy new ones cos they are only 100 for the tyre tube and whole rims and hub, ive never seen a rim that you cant bend yet.

do u have any ideas though on wat a set of execel rims for a thumpstar would be worth roughly???

I heard steel rims are the go, They are a bit heavier than the alloy but are alot stronger.

have a look in an adb mag or the like they always have adds in there for aftermarket rims
