foam air filter

can you use foam air filter even if the old one is a like mesh filter as long as they r the same dimensions?

yes you can mate, as long as they have the right dimensions than it should be fine. If your going to upgrade most people on this forum recommend using Uni-filter foam filters , but then again they need to oil them up all the time

the only prob is it was a round tapered flange. does that matter like can u get foam tapered filters or doesnt it matter just the right diameter to fit onto the carby
