The first thing you should do is buy a 37 tooth rear sprocket. They add about 24 km/h to the bikes top speed. you can pick one of these up off http://www.elstars.com.au/parts_acce...ns_sprocke ts for about $32. Make sure it fits though, they have the mesurements of the sprocket on there so u can match it up to the one you have.

I havnt fitted it yet but heaps of people have said its got better acceleration and makes the gearing work much better. All the good quality pit bikes have a smaller sprocket aswell.

lilscottie, i fitted my 37t sprocket and you dont lose bottom and at all. its like having an extra gear ontop of what you already have. the torquiest part of my engine is in third before i had the 37t on, previously i had a 48t. the torquiest part of my engine is now 2nd. where i ride i normally ride in top gear but with the new sprockets i cant even get into the top gear, there is no need to, it is seriously like adding anotha gear. if u ride in 3rd gear and with the new sprocket u will be riding in 2nd. my gear ratio is 1-0-2-3-4

the 37t s a much better gearing option. especially if u ride in long straights of dirt or in the country with open tracks, its just awesum.

the proverts and thumpstars also have 37t sprockets

Yea i actually got an extra sprocket with the bike which turned out to be the 37 tooth, after i put it on it was like a totally different bike it really made a huge difference its just like fanger said it really does add a whole new gear. and for the 26 carbie that came with the bike too is there much more i can really do for extra performance? and what about a new exhaust do they have much of an effect?
thanks for all the tips though keep em coming

i wouldn,t go overboard with engine mods as this may be a bad move for the chinese engine. if you pick the right gearing, re jet your carby, add a breather pipe to the head area and buy a better pipe than stock you will have a good bike that is both reliable and has the needed grunt like in all 4 stroke engines. lilscottie is the man to see.
