Scooter tyres on a Thump

Hi guys, a nooby here from Belgium.

I have a Thump copy and im wanting to put road tyres on it. I have a 12 x 3 rear wheel and a 12 x 2.5 front. My question is....can i fit scooter tires safetley? im thinking for the back a 110 x 80 or 90 x 12 scooter tire, will this work??

to answer your question yes it can be done,my brother and i did it to our orion pro series it works great, my cousin raced in a supermoto with the same tyres, not to sure of the sizes but your local bike dealer should be able to help you with that.

Scooter tires (mounting them and supply of) is not a problem especially if you have a 12/12 front/rear.

What I have on is a 90/90-12 for the rear on my 1.60x12 wheel. Unless I can find a wider wheel, I think this is the widest tire I want to put on.

My front is not a 12 but a 14. With it, I have an 80/90-14 on a 1.40x14 wheel.

I dont think scooters come in 14 as I had difficulty sourcing them. In the end, I found motorcycle tires that suit.
