Loncin Carb Mods / Bike Mods

Ok guys just thought id start this as every1 is always talkin bout Lifan's etc and you dont hear much about Loncins!

Well i fitted a Mikuni 25mm to my 124 Loncin a while back.
Some hints for this:

1. If you are using an off centre intake manifold as i did then you will need to file some engine fin away from the cylinder. The fins are very high (much higher than a 124 ducar as i have one of those as well) and hit on the bottom of the carb.

2. I have fitted a 105 main jet, with the needle in the middle. I might try and lift the needle 1 notch as it still seems a bit lean, but this combo works very well.

3. I have also replaced my 39T rear sprocket with a 41T rear. My rear is a 12 inch wheel. The 41 is much better as i can now use third gear a lot more round the track. Previously i was either revving it right out in second or putting in third.

Anyway hope this helps some1 out

Also just a question: does anyone ever have trouble getting to the air mix screw on these 25mm mikuni's?
Mine is underneath the carb and there is no way i could ever go to it with engine running

yeah with the mikunis the ari mixture screw is ina stupid spot but my mechainc has a tool that is a long rod witha right angle bend in it and it has like a flat head attachement on it and a handle on the other end so you fit the tool in the screw and you turn the handle on the other end and its got like a piece of bendy metal or spring inside so it turns the screw its pretty good i think you can get them from bike shops but im not sure
