Qusetion about porting(not in sticky)

When you grind down the area where the valev guide comes into the port, do you have to remove, or push the valve guide up out of the port so that you dont damage it? I dont want ot metal to bur on the inner lip of the guide, and cause issues with valve wear, engine failure etc.

Im using a dremel, so im kind of worried about this.
